The Cable Lying Triceps Extension is a smooth, no-nonsense triceps builder. Lying down keeps you locked in, so it's all about isolating those arms and keeping the tension right where it counts. Great for hitting the long head and getting that full stretch-and-squeeze action. Quiet move, strong results - just the way we like it here at the den.

Instructions

  1. Attach a straight or EZ-curl bar to a low pulley cable machine.
  2. Position a flat bench or incline bench in front of the cable machine.
  3. Lie on the bench with your head nearest to the cable machine.
  4. Grasp the bar with an overhand grip, palms facing down.
  5. Extend your arms straight up with elbows fully extended and the bar above your forehead.
  6. Lower the bar slowly towards the top of your head by bending your elbows.
  7. Keep your upper arms stationary and close to your head.
  8. Stop when your forearms and biceps make contact.
  9. Reverse the movement by extending your arms back to the starting position.
  10. Repeat for the desired number of reps.
