Simple and effective - this stretch is great for loosening tight hamstrings and giving the lower back a break. Extend one leg, lean in, and breathe. Around here, we use it to stay limber between sets or after a long trek through the woods.

Instructions

  1. Sit on the edge of a chair.
  2. Extend one leg out in front of you with the heel on the ground.
  3. Keep the other foot flat on the floor.
  4. Lean forward from the hips, keeping the back straight, to reach towards the extended foot.
  5. Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds.
  6. Release and switch sides.
